I Can't Live Without You

 

 

 

Last night my iphone decided to stop allowing me to make calls

which is kind of an important feature of a cell phone, don't you think?

 

 

 

 

So that got me thinking....

 

What did people do before cell phones?

 

 What other products do I depend on SO much that I can't live a day without them?

 

This is what I came up with :

 

 

obviously I can't live without my iphone!

 

Within 5 minutes of its death I was on the land line (which I've never actually used before tonight)

 contacting local cell phone stores to check thier inventory of apple products.

 

* Luckily my hubby was able to bring it back to life somehow *

 

 

I am trying to figure out how my great-grandmother got ready for a date

without one of these wonderful products.

 

Luckily someone came to their senses in 1912 and invented this amazing

tool that I use every day of my life.

what exactly is going on in that bra of hers?

I think they need to give her boobs a buzzer & let them be the 4th judge!

 

While watching this week, my hubby must have said

"I wish she would just put a shirt on"

at least 10 times.

 

It's not that they aren't large....cuz they are.

 

They are just odd to look at.

Vino & Summer Night Thoughts...

This is my favorite part of the summer when it finally starts to cool down at night and you can tell Fall is right around the corner.   Last night after putting the princess to bed and before the hubby came home from work I decided to relax out on the deck and enjoy the last few hours of daylight with a glass of wine.

My husband grew up in the city, Boston, to be exact. When he met me and moved out to the suburbs he wasn't used to the peaceful, tranquil setting. At night he would find it hard to sleep without the sounds of police cars, car alarms, & college kids walking home from the bars. Now he loves being able to relax outside after a long day of work in the city on the deck or in the pool.

While sitting outside with my vino & my ipad I thought I'd browse the internet while I waited for the hubby to get home...

• I was happy to learn that Drew Peterson was found G-U-I-L-T-Y.... he makes me sick. Sidenote: if you haven't seen the Lifetime movie about him you should check it out - Rob Lowe does an awesome job of portraying the #!%$^@ (fill in whatever word you find appropriate)
• If my husband ever proposed to me like THIS I would have to not so politely decline... then run him over with my car!
• This is JUST what we need while tailgating at football games this fall.....the mobile stripper pole...it attaches to any truck or SUV....just what I wanna see hanging off the back of some dirty old man's mini van....

• By the way, the guy on the bottle of wine I'm drinking bears a strange resemblance to an angry Chris from the Bacherlorette/Bachelor Pad...don't you think? Maybe that was his face after Emily dumped him?

• I was pretty bummed out to learn how much Honey Boo Boo is making per episode too.... How are crazy rednecks making this kinda $$$?!
• Apparently someone has stolen some tampons that didn't pass inspection and have sold them to the public? What is wrong with people? Is this real life?!

Gray Braids & Short Do's.... OH MY!

Have you ever stopped and wondered what you will look like when you get old?  I don't mean next year or even 10 years from now... I mean really old........... I know we all do our best to take care of our skin and most of the time wrinkles are inevitable. What really concerns me is "old lady hair". I had some friends over Saturday night and we were having this discussion. I have had long hair my entire life. What am I going to do when I'm 80 years old?! I don't want to be the old woman at the grocery store with the long gray braid down her back.

 

 

 

 

 

 I asked my hubby what his thoughts were and he is very concerned. Who knew guys think about this kind of stuff too?  He is very easy going & will do anything for me and always tries his best to give me anything I ask for. He is not controlling or opinionated in any way but he let me know that he is pretty much FORBIDDING me to get the old lady haircut.

 

 

Now we all love us some Betty White & who isn't a fan of the Golden Girls, but I can't rock this style!

 

 

This lady looks like she's still rockin' out even though her hair has probably seen better days.

 

 

 

 

Now what about color??? Would it be so wrong to be 85 years old and still blonde? Can I still go in for regular foils with my cane? I can't have the white hair with a blue tinge.. it's just not my style.

 

 

 

 

 

I used one of my iphone apps to give my hubby a preview of the future

 (using my grandmother's haircuts.....sorry Nana....Sorry Grammy)

 

 

SERIOUSLY?! I CAN'T ROCK THIS!

 

 

 

 

and this isn't going to work for me either....

 

 

 

 

Well................at least I still have a few good years left before I need to worry about this. Sorry hubby, our vows did say "for better or worse".

 

 

 

 

 

 

Random Friday Night Thoughts

Okay so nobody is probably going to read this because by the time you sign on to your blog account it will probably be Monday morning (or Tuesday since it's a holiday weekend) and everyone else you follow will be updating you on how awesome of a weekend they had, well I'm bored right now so I'm going to write this post whether anyone sees it or not! It's Friday night and the hubby is still at work...The Princess is sleeping... and I'm having a glass of wine and looking for a cheesy Lifetime movie to watch that I haven't already seen, but unfortunately I think I've seen them all...So this is just going to be a very random post on whatever pops into my head while I am typing.... Speaking of Lifetime movies, I was watching one last night with my Nana (who was staying with me for a few days while her home renovations were being finished). So it's Me, Nana, and the hubby sitting on the couch watching Lifetime.....the only problem was the movie I chose was more of a soft core porn that had more sex scenes than any other movie I know! All I heard from Nana's end of the couch was, "Oh my!" and "Wow, isn't he fresh?!", and my favorite, "They are going to do it again?"... My hubby had tears coming down his face from trying to hold in his laughter ... Bad call on my part... Note to self: next time check the parent's rating guide before watching a movie with Nana!
