My little princess (with some help from Daddy) bought me this beautiful ring.

O.N.E

My little princess is now ONE.

A whole year has gone by and she is no longer a baby...now she is a toddler.

The past 12 months have come and gone in a flash and she is growing up so quickly.

I had so much fun planning her special day.
She will never remember her first party, but luckily we have lots of pictures
to share with her in the future!

Secret Santa Swap

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

I love this time of year so much
and although I absolutely LOVE giving gifts,
I don't mind receiving them either!

Today I am linking up with some lovely ladies to share
my wonderful gifts I received from our Xmas blog swap.

First of all I would like to thank my Secret Santa, Stephanie,
for taking the time to pick out such thoughtful gifts.

I loved the card she sent me -
it has a picture of Canada's Parliament in winter on the front and
inside she mentioned that she drives by this every day - what a beautiful view!

What I loved about this gift is that most of the items were handmade by local Ottawa artisans.

What lady doesn't need a new bag to tote around?!
This one is the perfect size for anything from some lipgloss & a cellphone
to some change and a pack of gum!
The design is so cute too!

Next I opened this candle...
If anyone knows me then they know that I ALWAYS
have candles burning at home.
I love the ambiance that candles create and the neutral color matches my home perfectly!

I am pretty sure that every single outfit I own has some form of black in it.
So this scarf was a perfect choice for me!

Stephanie also sent me a cute little pair of button earrings:

Can you believe there is still more?!

She also sent me this adorable Santa ornament !

Thank you again for all the beautiful gifts,

Merry Christmas !

It's OKAY

I'm linking up to let you know what is OK today :

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OKAY:

That I thought it was a good idea to run a few errands last night after getting my brows waxed. I thought a little pressed powder on top of the fresh wound would make everything okay, but apparently I was wrong. People were looking at me in horror as if I had just been mauled outside in the parking lot by a circus tiger.

That I am going to get some fresh highlights in about an hour and have no intention on changing the pants that I slept in all night.

That I have like 4000 presents to wrap for Xmas and they are all sitting on the floor in front of me right now but I am choosing to write this post instead.

That I look like a ghost - it's 20 degrees outside and I would love to lay out in the sun and soak up some vitamin D but I think I'll have to settle for a spray tan instead.

That I "accidentally" left up a page of bedroom vanities on my hubby's laptop in case he has a desire to buy me one for Xmas :)

Have a wonderful Thursday Lovely Ladies!

I was so excited when I got the email that I had been
selected by that crazy little random number generator.

This is what I did when I found out I had won:

Photobucket

I was so excited when my mailman rang my doorbell and left THIS package on my doorstep:

How cute is this box?
I didn't even want to rip it open because I loved it so much.

After staring at the box for 5 minutes I decided it was time to open it up!

I love nice handwriting

This lil' reindeer ornament was so cute he had to go right on the tree!

I used to watch this with my family every year.
Now I am so excited to start the tradition with my little one.

And this was the face she made while watching me open up our box of goodies.

 Top 5 Celebrity Wardrobe Malfunctions

ONE

I think we can ALL agree that when it comes to wardrobe malfunctions Miss Britney had the worst ot them all. I don't think I could show my face in public after everyone & their mother had seen my business. I hope Britney remembers her undies from now on!

TWO

No that is not cleavage you are looking at, that's Sofia Vergara's butt crack after her dress split 20 minutes before she was due on stage @ this year's emmys. At least she was wearing underwear - Britney can learn a lot from her.

THREE

Okay Mariah....
We all love "All I Want For Christmas Is You", but I bet poor Nick Cannon is hoping you lose the camel toe for Christmas this year.

FOUR

Kim... we know you have a huge bum...put some underwear on...please...thank you.

FIVE

Scroll to the 1 min 8 sec mark to see this malfunction - at least Taylor remembered her undies!

So Much To Be Thankful For

I hosted my first Thanksgiving dinner this year and had a wonderful time with my family.

There are so many horror stories that you read about
when families get together but luckily for me,
my family is extremely close, we all get along so well,
and we always have such a good time together.

There is so much that I am thankful for this year:

* My daughter Madyson

Every day she makes me laugh. She is the happiest little girl I've ever met and even though she's only been here for 11 months, I can't even remember life before her,

* My hubby

I am so grateful for my husband and how hard he works for us. I know how lucky I am to be able to stay at home with Madyson and am so thankful that he will do anything in his power to make me happy. It might seem old fashioned (especially with so many career women out there these days) but, I love being a housewife. I look forward to having dinner on the table when he gets home from work and taking care of all the household chores.

*My Home

We bought a new house this summer and it's everything I could have hoped for. After searching online and going to numerous open houses I found that it was very difficult to find one that had everything we were looking for and had that "home" feeling. This one just seemed perfect for our family and I am so grateful that the first offer fell through and we were able to purchase this house - it feels like home here.

* My Family

I have two loving parents & two amazing sisters and I consider myself so blessed to have such a wonderful family. We spend so much time together and always have so much fun! In fact, all 8 of us (2 parents, 3 girls + 3 husbands) are all going to see A Christmas Carol this weekend - I can't wait!

Here are a few pictures from my Thanksgiving weekend!
